Very Strange...
Oct. 3rd, 2008 10:40 pmI found out today that the movements of the planets *do* affect my life.
My coworker and I were talking to one of the IT guys about our old Mac computers at work. He said that he would like to update them all and put Leopard on them. My coworker was pressing him for a timescale of the work:
Coworker: When could you get the upgrade done?
IT guy: Sometime. Just not now. We're too busy now.
Coworker: What kind of timescale are we talking about? Six months?
IT guy: Oh no, when [Mars] is at conjunction would be good.
I had to stop and realize that he did mean that. Our facility controls cameras on Mars - conjunction is the slow time around here.
Of course, Mercury's retrograde motion doesn't negatively affect electronics (like Hubble)... even though MSNBC says so.
