I've been working on getting my 700 odd pictures up on my website - in smaller chunks. The first installment of pictures is ready, so I thought I'd post those.

London pictures

Netherlands pictures
I took a lot of pictures in London of the Earth from Above exhibit even thought I did see that there was a website - and an excellent web site it is! - but I wanted to capture the whole context of the exhibit: the large pictures set among the modern buildings along the Thames. Here's one of my favorite pictures from the exhibit:
Caravan in the Sahara
You can access the other images (and even more I didn't see) at the site there. (thanks, trogon, for the link!)

Among the pictures from the Netherlands is one of a cool little bookshop: The Hieronymus Bosch Medieval and Renaissance Bookshop and another of a very friendly yellow cat by a red doorway. :)

As far as cool pictures, I like the ones of the sailboats, especially along the channel out to the island, but I think this one is the one of all my pictures that really stands out to me - it's the monument to men lost at sea that's at the beach on Terschelling:

As always, any feedback on pictures is welcomed! And my pictures from Ireland will be in subsequent posts.

Nice pictures! Thanks for sharing them. I got interested in historic London after I started reading Neal Stephenson's Quicksilver, but I haven't actually been there yet, so it's neat to see pictures of the old Roman wall, the Tower of London, the Tower Bridge, a monument to the fire of 1666, etc. The Netherlands looks pretty, too; I especially like your pictures of the houses and houseboat with all the flowers around them.

I used to have a Paddington Bear, but I don't know where he is now—perhaps in my parents' attic.

Is that a picture of a sunset??? *adores sunsets*

Glad you made it back safely! I was wondering when you'd be back on. I was praying.

I haven't been able to look at the rest of your pics yet, but I can't wait! And I can't wait to see the pics you have of Ireland. I wonder if I'll see any that I recognize :)

*hugs Harv*

Thanks! :) I hadn't really heard of Quicksilver, but having just Googled it, it sounds really cool!

Yep, it's a sunset. :) I'm a sucker for sunsets too. I really need to create a page of the sunsets from my backyard. I've taken two really nice ones since I've been home from my trip.

Thanks for the prayers! And where did you go in Ireland?

Now I would love to see your sunsets :) I've got a bunch of sunsets in my Photobucket :)

And I was in Cork. I went there summer of 97 with my youth group on a mission's trip to do 5-Day-Clubs, which are smaller versions of VBS. Ah, the memories :) Where were you guys?

Hmmm... I'll have to make a post with all my sunset links. Or may be just a webpage with all my sunset pictures. yeah!

We spent 1.5 days in Dublin, then took the train to Galway and spent the rest of our time in The Burren - an amazing area! Pictures will be coming, I've just got horrid meetings to prepare for. ugh.
